4 Easy Steps to a Healthy Prostate

If you’re here it’s because you found yourself experiencing prostate issues. Are you suffering from an enlarged prostate due to BPH (benign prostate hyperplasia), prostate cancer, or prostatitis. I am sure you want to know what steps you can take to regain your health. The good news is there are definitely preventative measures you can take to promote better prostate health, even if you already have symptoms.

Your diet, exercise habits, and lifestyle have a tremendous impact on your prostate health. Maintaining good habits can help to prevent and even lower your level of risk when it comes to prostate disease. If you are already experiencing symptoms, as I suspect, you can take action immediately to ensure these conditions do not worsen.

In some cases taking the steps below are the only solution. For instance, if you have chronic prostatitis simply treating it with antibiotics will not work. You will need to ensure you are proactively seeking stress-relieving techniques, exercising frequently, improving your eating habits, and taking the right supplements that will actually support your prostate health.

Stress-relieving Techniques

Stress can tighten your pelvic muscles and negatively affect your prostate health. One of the causes of Chronic Prostatitis is the chronic tightening of the pelvis, which creates severe pelvic floor muscle problems. Also, stress will definitely affect you if you are suffering from BPH. I’m sure if you are experiencing prostate issues that is also stressing you out. That is why it is so important to search for stress-relieving techniques that work for you. Did you know that stress can make your prostate condition worse by impairing your immune systems ability to fight diseases. A few techniques that have helped me manage my stress are:

  • Maintaining and expanding my social circle
  • Openly talking about my symptoms
  • Therapy
  • Going to the sauna
  • Exercising
  • Meditating
  • Getting a massage on a regular basis
  • Deep breathing exercises
  • Yoga
  • Hiking or walking in nature

Exercise on a Regular Basis

Exercising daily will eventually lead to losing weight, both will help support your prostate health. Exercise also promotes your cardiovascular health, which also helps to prevent and issues with your general health and most importantly your sexual health. If you are out of shape and overweight exercising is the most important step you can take to improve and support your prostate health. A recent study, published in the Journal of Urology, discovered that overweight men, specifically men that have a high amount of abdominal fat, have an increased risk of BPH and Prostatitis. If you have an enlarged prostate and need to shrink your prostate, losing excess weight can help reduce the size of your prostate. You will see improved urine flow and also significantly reduce your risk of getting prostate cancer.

Improve your Eating Habits

Following a prostate healthy diet and forming good eating habits is also another extremely important and easy step you can take to prevent cancer and slow the growth of prostate cells.

There are some areas of the world where there are significantly less cases of men with prostate disease. These countries all have something in common in what they consume and do not consume in their diets. They do consume fish or some form of plant-based protein. They do not consume saturated fats, processed food, or foods high in sugar. Some of the best food for a healthy prostate are:

  • Oily fish (high in omega-3 fatty acids)
  • Vegetables
  • Nuts
  • Olives
  • Avocados
  • Asian mushrooms
  • Tomatoes
  • Pomegranate juice
  • Walnuts

Supplements that Actually Support your Prostate Health

Now that you know what foods are good for you, you will probably try them out. There may be a chance that you just don’t like eating certain kinds of food, they may not agree with you, and in some cases you literally can’t consume enough to make a significant difference. This is precisely when taking the right supplements comes into play. Daily supplements that have the best ingredients in them will help support and maintain your prostate health. You should be able to notice a huge difference in just a few weeks.

Now that you know how, go get your Prostate Health Back!

You can start now! Figure out what stress-relieving technique works best for you by testing some of my suggestions. If you can go out for a walk in the morning and a night you can start with that and go from there. Take a look at your fridge and cabinets and start to discard items you know are not good for your health and make a grocery list of the items you now know will help you regain your health. Most importantly, start doing your research and on prostate supplements and decide which one is best for you!
